Sessions are run by qualified staff who undertake continuous professional development and are trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All Little Raindrops staff are parents themselves enabling them to understand the needs of the children from a parents point of view. We are proud of the high ratio of adults to children in our group. This ensures individual attention to the needs and development of each child. In addition, we have occasional help from students and parents. There is a parents copy of the Early Years Foundation Stage available to view within the setting.

Key Person
Our key person system gives members of staff particular responsibility for just a few children (as shown in our entrance area). Each child in the group has one special adult within the group to relate to, although parents/carers may approach any member of staff with regards to their child. The key person is able to tailor the group's curriculum to the unique needs of each individual child. The key person will work with parents through shared record-keeping to ensure that all children are supported in achieving their full potential. Each term we hold a week long ‘HAVE A GO’ session when you are invited to come along and shadow your child during a session, joining in with the activities they choose. This is the ideal opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress and see their Learning Journey. Your child’s Learning Journey is available to see at any time.
